Mahathi Kosuri, PhD
Dr. Kosuri studied at the Graduate Center at Queens College, in New York. She completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, with an emphasis on adult clinical neuropsychology. After pursuing an undergraduate degree at the George Washington University in Psychology and Public Health, Dr. Kosuri attended the John Jay College of Criminal Justice to study Forensic Mental Health Counseling. During her masters, Dr. Kosuri published and presented research internationally, on American perceptions of global sex crimes, whilst also being a representative for the American Psychological Association (APA) at the United Nations. Her most recent research explores the neuropsychological functioning of justice-involved individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
Dr. Kosuri has completed neuropsychological assessment training at several hospitals in the NYC metropolitan area, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Mount Sinai West/Beth Israel, Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Hospital, and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She completed her pre-doctoral internship from the University of California of Los Angeles (UCLA) in adult neuropsychology. Dr. Kosuri works as a clinical neuropsychological practice assistant under the supervision of Dr. Susan Chi.
She enjoys sunbathing, playing the piano, and learning about how to decolonize psychotherapy.
